Salesian Youth Leadership Conference,<\/strong> Aptos, CA<\/strong> – July 7-14, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SYLC Team gathered yesterday and are prepared to welcome today the youth leaders of the province to SYLC 2024: “Awaken the Dream!” The Salesian Youth Leadership Conference (SYLC) is a formation experience of Salesian spirituality, leadership training, and networking for young people from Salesian ministries throughout the Western United States. Since the summer of 1985, young people and adults have gathered at SYLC to develop their abilities as youth ministry leaders and to grow in friendship as members of the Salesian Youth Movement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“St. John Bosco often said, \u201cEverything and everyone is won by the sweetness of our words and works, and without confidence and love, there can be no true education.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s always an outstanding achievement when students excel in their academics. Being young men of intellect indicates that they possess solid intellectual abilities and have the potential for further growth and success. Recognizing and nurturing such talent is essential, as it can lead to promising futures and <\/a>contributions in various fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tonight, we honor the top 15 students in their respective classes for their academic achievement throughout this school year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many thanks to our parents who continue to provide a strong foundation of support for their sons. To the faculty and staff, thank you for guiding and mentoring our Mustangs. Special thanks Dr. Adrien Lopez \u201804 for being tonight\u2019s keynote speaker, and for acknowledging our students\u2019 academic success and paying tribute to our Salesian parents.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
