(ANS)<\/strong>\u00a0– The Salesian American Missionary Congress’ Entrelazandos Caminos (Intertwining Paths<\/em>) is officially launched on Thursday, November 14, 2024, with a digital formation session called “Preparatory Dialogues’\u2019 that will take place through Zoom at 7pm Argentine time (UTC-3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025 the Salesian Congregation celebrates the 150th anniversary of the First Missionary Expedition sent by Saint John Bosco to the Americas, specifically to Argentina. In this context, the Salesian Missionary Congress \u2018Entrelazandos Caminos\u2019 offers a way to analyse and reflect on the rich missionary history with reflections from a critical point of view and scientific approach that is an invitation to promote a more effective cultural evangelisation in the Americas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A number of \u2018Preparatory Dialogues\u2019 are planned in the run-up to the Missionary Congress, virtual meetings that will take place before the Congress and will deal with different topics that will help participants to make the spirit of the Congress their own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Salesian Provincials of Argentina and Ecuador, the Rectors of the Salesian Universities in these areas, and the Congress organizational team will take part in this first preparatory dialogue scheduled for November 14. Words of welcome to the participants will be offered by Fr Horacio Barbieri, Superior of the Argentina North Province (ARN); Fr Dario Perera, Superior of the Argentina South Province; and Fr Guillermo Tano, Rector of the Salesian University of Argentina (Unisal).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the formal presentation, Fr Alejandro Le\u00f3n, a member of the Salesian History Association (ACSSA), will present his research work contained in\u00a0 \u2018Memorias de la Candelaria\u2019 (EDBA), a book of stories and images collected from the Salesian mission in R\u00edo Grande, Tierra del Fuego, Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMPORTANT:<\/strong> there are four preparatory dialogues for the Missionary Congress and those who participate in all of them will receive a certificate of participation from the Salesian Polytechnic University of Ecuador and the Salesian University of Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally,\u00a0the MISSIONARY CONGRESS 2025<\/strong>\u00a0will be held from Monday, May 19 to Thursday, May 22, 2025, at the La Montonera retreat house in Pilar, in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
