(ANS \u2013 Rome)<\/strong> \u2013 The Salesian Family worldwide rejoices with immense gratitude and joy at the announcement of the canonization of Blessed Maria Troncatti<\/strong>, a Daughter of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), scheduled to take place on October 19, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This eagerly awaited announcement was made on June 13, 2025<\/strong>, during the celebration of the Third Hour and the Ordinary Public Consistory for the Canonization of the Blessed<\/strong>, presided over by Pope Leo XIV<\/strong> in the Consistory Hall of the Apostolic Palace in Vatican City<\/strong>. With the consent of the Cardinals, it was confirmed that Blessed Maria Troncatti<\/strong> will be canonized alongside other Blesseds on this momentous date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Gift for the Salesian Family and the Universal Church<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a heartfelt letter addressed to the Salesian Sisters and the wider Salesian Family, Mother Chiara Cazzuola<\/strong>, Superior General of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA), expressed her profound joy, describing the canonization as a “gift for the Universal Church and the Salesian Family.”<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mother Chiara reflected on the extraordinary life and mission of Blessed Maria Troncatti<\/strong>, who was born in C\u00f3rteno Golgi, Italy<\/strong>, on February 16, 1883<\/strong>, and passed away in Suc\u00faa, Ecuador<\/strong>, on August 25, 1969<\/strong>. As a missionary, mother, and artisan of peace, she dedicated her life to offering reconciliation, healing, and love to those in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is a moment of thanksgiving,” wrote Mother Chiara, “for the holiness of this courageous Daughter of Mary Help of Christians, whom we remember as a mother, missionary, and peacemaker. Her life was a testimony of love and service, a reflection of God\u2019s presence in the world.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
