(ANS – Castelnuovo Don Bosco) –<\/strong> On August 16, at the end of the Eucharistic celebration held to mark the 210th anniversary of the birth of St. John Bosco, <\/strong>the Mayor of Castelnuovo Don Bosco, Umberto Musso, together with members of the municipal administration, conferred honorary citizenship on Fr. Fabio Attard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech of thanks, the Rector Major expressed deep emotion and gratitude, saying: “This is the first honorary citizenship I have received. And if others should arrive in the future, it is only right that the first should come from the land of Don Bosco: his cradle, his roots, his people.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gesture was received with great warmth, as a sign of the deep bond between the Rector Major and the land that gave birth to their founder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the morning celebrations, an important moment for the sustainability and ecological transition of Colle Don Bosco took place. In fact, the Rector Major officially opened the new 200 kWh photovoltaic system. This dream was realised thanks to the generous support of benefactor Chris Larsen from the United States. With this step, Colle Don Bosco becomes a beacon of ecological commitment for the entire Salesian world, in tune with Pope Francis’ call for an integral ecology and care for the common home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day ended with another significant moment: the installation of Fr. Jos\u00e9 Miguel Nu\u00f1ez as the new Rector of Colle Don Bosco, during a ceremony presided over by Fr. Fabio Attard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his speech, the Rector Major gratefully thanked the outgoing Rector, Fr. Thathireddy Vijaya Bhaskar, for his years of generous service, and welcomed Fr. Jos\u00e9 Miguel to his new post with joy and fraternal confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This transition represents not only a change of leadership, but also a renewed spiritual and pastoral commitment, so that Colle continues to be a living home of Don Bosco’s charism for pilgrims, young people, and all Salesians.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
