(Bellflower, California) <\/strong>– Dear Salesian Family,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2019, I first encountered the Salesians at the Religious Education Congress. On the final day, something nudged me to stop by their booth\u2014initially just to pick up a water bottle. There, I was greeted by a Salesian Sister who asked about my ministry background. I shared that I had been involved in parish youth ministry for ten years and had recently been laid off from my job. Without hesitation, she smiled and said, \u201cI think I have a job for you.\u201d She introduced me to Gina, and from that moment, the rest is history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Six years later, as I prepare to close this chapter of my journey, I am filled with gratitude. I know in my heart that meeting the Salesians was part of God\u2019s plan all along. Over these years, I have learned so much and experienced the living charism of Salesian spirituality in countless ways. I\u2019ve met people who have shaped my faith with their kindness, joy, and encouragement, and I now move forward with renewed purpose in serving young people in my job as a school therapist. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through conferences, retreats, workshops, and formation experiences, the greatest lesson I\u2019ve carried with me is to meet every person in the ordinary of every day life with kindness, openness, a heart of service, and joy\u2014the true spirit of being Salesian. I am especially grateful to Fr. Mel Trinidad, Fr. Fabian Cardenas, Gina Robles, Bro. Al Vu and Victoria Figueroa for their guidance, leadership, and support throughout this journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is not goodbye, but simply see you soon. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
