On 21 September, at the Don Bosco Institute of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in Padua, about 700 boys and girls from 31 different settings &#8211; including oratories, schools and parishes &#8211; gathered for the SYM Youth Meeting 2025. Sunday was characterised by a festive welcome, including games, entertainment and dancing, which immediately set the tone for the meeting: shared joy and the desire to walk together. The heart of the morning was listening to the testimony of two young people from the &#8220;Youth for Peace&#8221; movement from the\u00a0 Sant&#8217;Egidio Community, who recounted their experience of volunteering in the reception camps in Cyprus and the daily activities they carried out in Italy alongside the poorest people. At the center of the day, the Eucharist was presided over by the Superior of the Province of North-East Italy (INE), Fr Silvio Zanchetta, who in his homily invited people to pray insistently for peace in the world and to believe that the commitment of young people can really make a difference.
