Savio brings a wealth of experience in education, pastoral ministry, and social engagement to his new role. He underscores the importance of ecological education for young people, stating,&nbsp;<em>\u201cEcological engagement is not an optional project; it is a core dimension of Salesian youth ministry.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reflecting on the role of youth in addressing ecological challenges, Fr. Savio emphasizes the need for young people to take the lead. He envisions Salesian institutions as platforms where youth can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify critical local ecological concerns.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze root causes and design solutions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implement concrete action plans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in global environmental movements, fostering collaboration and shared responsibility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cToday\u2019s young people are deeply concerned about ecological issues and want to contribute meaningfully to change,\u201d he shared. \u201cIt is our responsibility as Salesians to support and empower them to lead these efforts locally and globally.\u201d Fr. Savio further elaborates on the importance of dreaming big and striving for collective action. He states,<em>\u201cWe need to dream with a vision and fight for that vision. Together with young people, we can build a future that is sustainable, equitable, and filled with hope.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0This vision reflects the Salesian mission to inspire young minds while addressing urgent ecological concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Experience and Hope from the Don Bosco Green Alliance<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Fr. Savio\u2019s tenure with the Don Bosco Green Alliance has shaped his approach to this new role. He has witnessed the passion of young people and the commitment of Salesian provinces worldwide to address the ecological crisis.
