Pierluigi Cameroni<\/strong>, stating that the <strong>Vatican Dicastery for the Causes of Saints<\/strong>, in its ordinary Congress of <strong>January 14, 2026<\/strong>, had granted legal validity to the <strong>Diocesan Inquiry<\/strong> for the Cause of <strong>Beatification and Canonization<\/strong> of the <strong>Servant of God Luigi Bolla<\/strong>, a professed priest of the <strong>Salesian Society of St. John Bosco<\/strong>, and a missionary among the <strong>Shuar<\/strong> y <strong>Achuar<\/strong> Indigenous peoples of <strong>Ecuador<\/strong> y <strong>Peru<\/strong> (<strong>Schio, Italy, August 11, 1932 \u2013 Lima, Peru, February 6, 2013<\/strong>). This decision followed the verification of the formal aspects of the procedural acts and the consistency of the evidence, including the number and quality of witnesses and the documents collected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Postulator General<\/strong> emphasized that \u201cthis is a great achievement, the result of the passionate and competent work of the members of the <strong>Diocesan Tribunal in Lima<\/strong> and all those who contributed, in particular the <strong>Historical Commission<\/strong>, the <strong>theological censors<\/strong>, and the <strong>Vice Postulator<\/strong>, <strong>Fr. Jes\u00fas Adri\u00e1n Jurado Alarc\u00f3n, SDB<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>Dicastery for the Causes of Saints<\/strong> will now be asked to appoint a <strong>Rapporteur<\/strong> to guide the preparation of the <em>Positio super virtutibus<\/em> of the <strong>Servant of God<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The diocesan inquiry took place at the <strong>Archiepiscopal Curia in Lima, Peru<\/strong>, from <strong>September 27, 2021<\/strong>, to <strong>May 30, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The life of <strong>Fr. Luigi Bolla<\/strong> (<strong>Father Yankuam<\/strong>) among the <strong>Shuar<\/strong> y <strong>Achuar<\/strong> peoples teaches that mission is not about \u201cdoing something,\u201d but about choosing to \u201cbe there,\u201d allowing oneself to be profoundly transformed by the encounter with those to whom the mission is directed. He knew how to fulfill <strong>God\u2019s<\/strong> dream for him: in <strong>1943<\/strong> y <strong>1944<\/strong>, at the ages of <strong>11<\/strong> y <strong>12<\/strong>, the young <strong>Oratory<\/strong> member <strong>Luigi Bolla<\/strong> heard the voice of <strong>Jesus<\/strong>\u2014as he was certain\u2014at the oratory in <strong>Schio<\/strong>, revealing his plan: \u201cYou will be a missionary in the jungle among the Indigenous people, and you will bring them my Word.
