Organized and coordinated by the Economer General\u2019s Office, led by Gabriel Stawowy, the event brings together 14 Provincial Economers from five continents and all eight Salesian Regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Participants<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following Provincial Economers are taking part in the course:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fr. Sony Joseph Pottenplackal (AOS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Slawomir Drapiewski (BMA)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Ng Chi Yuen Joseph (CIN)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Br. Andr\u00e9s Leopoldo G\u00f3mez G\u00f3rzon (COB)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Alan Ross Banogon (FIS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Lex Florival (HAI)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Simone Calvano (ICC)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Jose Sequeira (INP)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Genesius Wanniang (INS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Francisco Javier Avila Fragoso (MEM)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Jake Mamo (MLT)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fr. Andrzej Krol (PLS)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Formation Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The sessions, led by the Economer General and his team, involve several experts in financial and administrative management and cover key sectors of the Congregation. Topics include the spirituality of the Economer, financial reporting, strategic planning, and financial safeguarding, as well as opportunities and risks in administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The opening session on the afternoon of Monday, May 4, featured an address by the Rector Major, Fabio Attard. He focused on the identity of the Provincial Economer and emphasized the importance of exercising this responsibility with integrity and a sense of personal dignity that reflects the entrusted mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Areas of Study<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additional sessions will address:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Canonical and legal frameworks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Role definition and human resource management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Decision-making criteria<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The work of the Planning and Development Office<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International solidarity initiatives<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Special attention is also given to tools available to Economers, including the Economer\u2019s Office portal, and to their relationship with other areas of Salesian mission such as Youth Ministry, Social Communication, and overall pastoral activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Environmental responsibility and care for creation are also highlighted as integral dimensions of economic and administrative decision-making within Salesian provinces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cultural Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To enrich the experience, participants will also take part in two cultural visits: the Catacombs of St. Callixtus and the Basilica of St. Mary Major, together with the Salesian community of the Sacred Heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Closing Celebration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the morning of Friday, May 8, 2026, the course will conclude with a closing Mass presided over by the Rector Major.
