Pamei Aching Albert, SDB<\/strong>y <strong>Br. Poji Kiivisie Peter, SDB<\/strong>, who had been held captive since the night of <strong>May 13, 2026<\/strong>, and were released on <strong>May 14<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an official communication from the <strong>Don Bosco Provincial House<\/strong> in <strong>Dimapur<\/strong>, the Provincial, <strong>Fr. Joseph Pampackal, SDB<\/strong>, thanked all those whose coordinated efforts contributed to the positive outcome. He acknowledged in particular the involvement of civil society organizations, Church leaders, community elders, law enforcement authorities, and numerous well-wishers who worked tirelessly to ensure the safe return of the two young religious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fr. Pampackal<\/strong> also expressed appreciation to members of the <strong>Kuki<\/strong> community, who safeguarded the brothers during their time in captivity. He emphasized that, even amid tension and uncertainty, gestures of protection and goodwill reflected a spirit of reconciliation and mutual respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Addressing the confreres of the Province, the Provincial wrote:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith hearts filled with gratitude to God, I am happy to inform you that our two Brothers, <strong>Cl. Pamei Aching Albert<\/strong> y <strong>Cl. Poji Kiivisie Peter<\/strong>, have been safely released from captivity tonight (<strong>May 14<\/strong>). We thank God for His providential care and protection over them, and for the loving and motherly intercession of <strong>Mary Help of Christians<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He further conveyed appreciation for the prayers, fraternal closeness, and constant support shown by <strong>Salesian<\/strong> communities throughout the Province and beyond. He made special mention of the Vice Provincial, the Provincial Economer, and the Provincial Secretary for their generous availability and careful coordination during the ordeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recalling the words of Scripture \u2014 \u201cBlessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God\u201d (<strong>Mt 5:9<\/strong>) and \u201cLet us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding\u201d (<strong>Rom 14:19<\/strong>) \u2014 <strong>Fr. Pampackal<\/strong> reaffirmed the <strong>Salesians\u2019<\/strong> commitment to promoting dialogue, reconciliation, and peace in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The safe release of the two brothers has been widely welcomed as a sign of hope.
