Fidel Orendain<\/strong>, General Councilor for Social Communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Communication at the Service of Mission<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his presentation, <strong>Fr. Orendain<\/strong> offered an inspiring overview of the role of communication in the <strong>Salesian<\/strong> mission today. Rooted in <strong>Salesian identity and charism<\/strong>, communication was presented not simply as a technical function, but as a pastoral priority \u2014 a service to communion, collaboration, and commitment to mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He outlined the renewed framework guiding the Sector\u2019s work worldwide, now articulated around four major focus areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Evangelization and formation in the digital age<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animation and organizational synergy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strategic institutional communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creative content production and digital mission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These priorities reflect a \u201creturn and refocusing,\u201d not a reinvention, of the <strong>Salesian Social Communication System<\/strong>, strengthening its capacity to respond to the challenges of digital culture, artificial intelligence, intercultural dialogue, and media ethics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fr. Orendain<\/strong> emphasized the Sector\u2019s global responsibility: accompanying <strong>Salesian Regions<\/strong>, supporting Provincial Delegates, fostering intersector collaboration (Youth Ministry, Missions, Formation, Economy), and promoting professional, ethical, and mission-driven communication across the <strong>Congregation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ANS<\/strong> and the <strong>Salesian Bulletin<\/strong>: Telling the Salesian Story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The meeting also featured presentations from members of the communication team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fr. Harris Pakkam<\/strong>, Director of <strong>ANS (Agenzia iNfo Salesiana)<\/strong>, illustrated how the agency serves as the <strong>Congregation\u2019s<\/strong> global news network, sharing daily reports, stories, and initiatives from <strong>Salesian<\/strong> presences around the world. Through multilingual platforms and digital outreach, <strong>ANS<\/strong> ensures a unified narrative that strengthens the identity and visibility of the <strong>Salesian<\/strong> mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Fr. Andrei<\/strong>, representing the <strong>Salesian Bulletin<\/strong>, presented the publication\u2019s ongoing commitment to preserving and communicating the spirit of <strong>Don Bosco<\/strong>. By combining tradition with contemporary media approaches, the Bulletin continues to reach the <strong>Salesian Family<\/strong> and a wider audience with content centered on faith, education, youth, and culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dialogue, Collaboration, and Shared Vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The atmosphere throughout the encounter was warm and interactive. Participants engaged in thoughtful questions and exchanges on topics such as digital evangelization, institutional credibility, crisis communication, and the ethical use of emerging technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The visit continued with a guided tour of the communication offices, studios, and media production spaces of the <strong>Generalate<\/strong>. Guests were able to witness firsthand the integrated work of <strong>ANS<\/strong>, social media coordination, multimedia production, and strategic planning carried out by the Sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The encounter concluded with expressions of gratitude and a renewed spirit of collaboration.
