But the question remains the same: Are we saving young people? Are we bringing them closer to God?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With this call, the first working session of the <strong>Meeting of Salesian Laypeople<\/strong> of the <strong>Salesian Province of Santa Rosa de Lima in Peru<\/strong> began.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The presentation during the first part of the morning was led by <strong>Fr. He explained that a Salesian work is not defined solely by its buildings, programs, or results, but by its ability to live the spirit of the <strong>Oratory<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Oratory is not just a place; it is a criterion for making decisions, a way of relating with young people, and above all, a way of being.\u201d<br>\u2014 <strong>Fr. Alejandro Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through a reflection on the different levels of the Oratory, he recalled that <strong>Don Bosco\u2019s model<\/strong> transcends physical space and becomes a way of life. \u201cWhere Don Bosco was, there was the Oratory,\u201d he stated, inviting educators to ask themselves whether they themselves have become a \u201cliving Oratory,\u201d capable of transmitting welcome, closeness, education, and evangelization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another significant moment was the reflection on the shared mission between Salesians and laypeople. <strong>Fr.
