(ANS \u2013 Morelia \u2013 11 de septiembre de 2026<\/strong>) \u2013<\/strong> More than 200 educational leaders, including members of the Salesians of Don Bosco (SDB)<\/strong>, the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (FMA)<\/strong>, and lay principals from the country\u2019s four provinces, gathered at the An\u00e1huac Salesian College<\/strong> in Morelia, Michoac\u00e1n, for the 11th National Meeting of Salesian School Leaders (ENDS 2026), held September 4\u20135. Under the theme \u201cLeading as a Network, Fostering Vibrant Communities,\u201d the meeting sought to strengthen leadership, promote collaborative work and respond boldly to the current pastoral and educational challenges facing Mexican youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The national conference was organized and coordinated by the National Salesian Education Team (ENES)<\/strong>. Its central aim was to renew the management of Salesian schools in Mexico through shared formation, discernment and the promotion of pedagogical innovation processes, in direct alignment with the strategic priorities formulated at the 5th Salesian School Meeting for the Americas (ESA V).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interprovincial Communion and Shared Commitment<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The opening session featured prominent representation from the Salesian Family in Mexico<\/strong>, led by the four provincial superiors: Sr. Luz Mar\u00eda Mart\u00ednez Trujillo<\/strong> (MME), Sr. Mar\u00eda del Socorro Hern\u00e1ndez Castillo<\/strong> (MMO), Fr. Juan Aar\u00f3n Cerezo Huerta, SDB<\/strong> (MEM) and Fr. Francisco Cervantes Huitr\u00f3n, SDB<\/strong> (MEG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her official welcome address, Sister Le\u00f3nides Rold\u00e1n Garc\u00eda, FMA<\/strong>, president of ENES, emphasized the urgency of consolidating a leadership culture grounded in synodality and shared responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRepresenting this network means safeguarding a living charismatic heritage that breathes from Tijuana to Yucat\u00e1n. This congress is designed as a space for collective discernment, evaluation and synergy, intended to provide practical tools that enhance the work of each of our local communities.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

She also recalled the four guiding principles of ESA V: Salesian Leadership, Evangelizing Pedagogical Management, Pastoral Animation and Accompaniment, and Management of Meaningful Outcomes<\/strong>. The opening prayer, led by Sister Crystal del Sagrario Reyes Salas, FMA<\/strong>, invited participants to contemplate leadership as a form of service in which Jesus must always be present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keynote Addresses, Networking and the Preventive System<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The academic program began with a keynote address by Ms. Itzel Garc\u00eda Garc\u00eda<\/strong>, entitled \u201cExecutive Leadership and Shared Mission: Coordination for Communion.\u201d The specialist addressed the evolution of the principal\u2019s role toward distributed leadership, outlining a strategic five-step approach: Inspire, Trust, Engage, Accompany and Empower<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The panel discussion \u201cWeaving Charismatic Networks,\u201d moderated by Orqu\u00eddea E. Aquino Pineda<\/strong> and comprising representatives from the four provinces \u2014 Sister Saira Viridiana Mart\u00ednez, Berenice Ter\u00e1n, Pablo Garay and \u00c1ngel Gazc\u00f3n<\/strong> \u2014 explored networking as an essential communal practice for revitalizing Salesian educational environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second day began with the Eucharist presided over by Fr. Juan Aar\u00f3n Cerezo Huerta, SDB<\/strong>, who urged participants not to become arrogant or create divisions, but rather to care for the most challenging students, following the example of Don Bosco<\/strong>. This was followed by a lecture by Fr. Mario Alberto Escalante L\u00f3pez, SDB<\/strong>, entitled \u201cThe Preventive System: Fraternal Coexistence and 21st-Century Global Competencies,\u201d demonstrating how kindness and a family spirit naturally foster the development of the \u201cSix Cs\u201d of the 21st century: character, citizenship, creativity, critical thinking, collaboration and communication<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
