A 1992 graduate of Bosco Tech\u2019s Design program, Vel\u00e1zquez is the Director of Analytical Development at Instil Bio, a global cell therapy company focused on the effective treatment of cancer. Graduating seniors Nathan Chao and Jericoh Santiago will serve as co-valedictorians. Chao will study Computer Engineering at UC San Diego and Santiago will study accounting at USC this fall.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re exceptionally proud of the graduating class of 2021,\u201d said Principal Jeff Krynen. \u201cThese young men have thrived and succeeded during the unanticipated challenges posed by the pandemic. Each graduate has earned acceptance, and in many cases, generous scholarships, to colleges and universities across the country, including UCLA, USC, UC Berkeley, Purdue, and Penn State. We are very confident in the future success of this class.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bosco Tech is an all-male Catholic high school that uniquely combines a rigorous college-preparatory program with a technology-focused education. The innovative curriculum allows students to exceed university admission requirements while completing extensive integrated coursework in one of six applied science and engineering fields, including the newest program,\u00a0Biological, Medical &amp; Environmental Technology (BMET).<\/p>\n<p>With a college acceptance rate of 100 percent, the majority of graduates pursue STEM-related post-secondary majors at the university level.
