Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) has named Christine Gambill Director of College Advising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled that Ms. Gambill is joining our successful academic counseling and college advisement team,\u201d said Guillermo (Memo) Gutierrez, Bosco Tech\u2019s President. \u201cWorking closely with students and their families, she will play a vital navigational role in the high school-to-university experience, and with a strong background in the private school setting, she will be an invaluable addition to our school community.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gambill is an educator and administrator with a background in curriculum design and development. Most recently, she served as Academic Dean at West Los Angeles\u2019 Arete Preparatory Academy, where she taught Philosophy, English, and History, and provided college counseling and academic advisement. Previously, she was a consultant at The MEG School and at MY Education Guru, a comprehensive educational coaching service with 100 percent higher education placement. A graduate of Ohio University and UC Riverside, Ms. Gambill holds degrees in Journalism and Religious Studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI am so happy to be joining Bosco Tech\u2019s thriving academic counseling program,\u201d said Gambill. \u201cComing from a background where 95 percent of seniors were admitted to their first-choice colleges and universities, I am primarily focused on students\u2019 plans for their future and helping them navigate their individual paths toward achievement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only Catholic applied science high school of its kind in the U.S., Bosco Tech uniquely combines a rigorous college-preparatory program with STEM-based studies. The innovative approach allows students to exceed university admissions requirements while completing extensive integrated coursework in one of six technology and engineering fields, including the newest program, Biological, Medical and Environmental Technology. Bosco Tech has a college acceptance rate of 100 percent, with the majority of graduates pursuing STEM-related post-secondary majors.
