{"id":732,"date":"2016-08-01T13:27:44","date_gmt":"2016-08-01T20:27:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/salesianbulletin.org\/?p=732"},"modified":"2016-08-01T18:27:42","modified_gmt":"2016-08-02T01:27:42","slug":"salesians-continue-dreaming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/salesianbulletin.org\/es\/2016\/08\/01\/salesians-continue-dreaming\/","title":{"rendered":"Salesians, Continue Dreaming!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-748\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/salesianbulletin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/cagliero11-newsletter.png?resize=720%2C246&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Cagliero11-Newsletter.png\" width=\"720\" height=\"246\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Salesian Missions Sector &#8211; Rome, Italy<\/p>\n<p>August 2016<\/p>\n<p>Dear Brothers and Friends,<\/p>\n<p>Last June Pope Francis visited the headquarters of the World Food Program (WFP) in Rome.\u00a0 In his speech he said: \u201cI desire that the fight to eradicate the hunger and thirst of our brothers and sisters, and with our brothers and sisters, will continue to challenge us not to grow weary and to keep dreaming \u2013 both of these! \u2013 in seeking creative solutions of change and transformation.\u201d\u00a0 We can tell the Holy Father: This is what our dear Father, Don Bosco has always wanted to do, to be on the watch, but always dreaming.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s what he has taught us to do.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhere are the Salesians?\u201d Don Bosco wrote in his letter from Rome (1884).\u00a0 Since today Pope Francis invites the religious to \u201cwake up the world,&#8221; we could also say: \u201cWhy are the Salesians sleeping?\u201d\u00a0 And because sometimes we sleep, we cannot dream.\u00a0 At the origin of every missionary vocation is always the ability to keep awake before the enormous challenges of the mission, and of course, to dare to dream.<\/p>\n<p>Are you awake?\u00a0 Would you still like to dream?\u00a0 The mission ad gentes, ad exteros, ad vitam can knock any time.\u00a0 Do not sleep!\u00a0 Continue dreaming!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-764\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/salesianbulletin.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/don-basanes.png?resize=111%2C150&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Don-Basanes\" width=\"111\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Fr.
