Last week they had the opportunity to attend the Bright Minds Student Summit at the WESTEC Manufacturing Technology event held at the Long Beach Convention Center.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bridge project that these young engineers worked on culminated in the pathway\u2019s lessons on statics and trusses. Students were tasked with designing a bridge based on specific criteria. They compete against each other to find out whose bridge best maximizes strength-weight ratio (and they watch their carefully constructed bridges break in the process).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Bright Minds Student Summit featured incredible technology exhibits, keynote presentations from industry experts, and a special guided show-floor tour.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-ai-assistant\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From St. John Bosco H.S.
