Led by Fr. Marco Caesar, pastor of St. Mary\u2019s and Santa Isabel as well as Fr. Hector Franco, Associate Pastor. This initiative is also a collaborative effort involving passionate individuals like Mario Barrios, a Salesian Missionary Volunteer, JC Montenegro, CEO of the Salesian Family Youth Center, Sister Estela, Director of Religious Education, Lisandro (Jr) and Anna Monique, Confirmation teachers, Fr. Peter Pong pastor at St. Bridget Parish, Rachel Law, Youth Minister, Fr. Jim Nieblas, SDB Community Director, Ezequiel, Director of Altar Servers, Yathziri, Youth Choir Director, Manuel Mares, Pastoral Assistant, and Luis Chacon from SYM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Introduction of CLEP SYM Boyle Heights Team<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CLEP SYM Boyle Heights team has set out to establish a Salesian youth pastoral structure aimed at serving the youth attending the parishes and Youth Center in Boyle Heights, with a projected timeline of six years, subject to updates every three years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Progress Report and Future Plans<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team shared insights gathered from ongoing surveys, emphasizing the importance of community engagement. Fr. Peter proposed conducting surveys at St. Bridget, which Luis will oversee. Rachel suggested tailored surveys for youth, to be administered at St. Bridget, while Fr. Jim will extend the survey to Salesian High School Bishop Mora. Luis will coordinate the dissemination of surveys and engage with parishioners during Sunday Masses, enlisting confirmation youth recommended by Lisandro and Anna to assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Digital Presence and Communication<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">JC addressed the status of St. Mary\u2019s and Santa Isabel websites, highlighting the need for enhancement. Fr. Hector unveiled a new bulletin design, incorporating a section dedicated to SYM Boyle Heights. Sister Estela advocated for vibrant visuals and interactive elements in the bulletin. Mario presented logo options, with plans to include &#8220;Los Angeles&#8221; to encompass St. Bridget Parish, along with launching a logo contest for wider participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Social Media Strategy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recognizing the importance of online presence, each parish will maintain separate Facebook pages, with Mario tasked to create one for Santa Isabel. St. Bridget Parish may also establish an Instagram account. SYM Boyle Heights will unify its communication through Instagram, aiming to educate, inform, and engage youth representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Upcoming Events<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Several events were highlighted, including the deadline for SYLC participant lists and payments on February 15th, coordination of the Religious Education Congress, and a Confirmation Retreat at St. Joseph Salesian Retreat House from March 8th to 10th.
