(Campinas, Brazil) – September 2025 – With deep sorrow, the Salesian Family announces the passing away of Br. Genésio Dalmônico, SDB, which occurred yesterday morning, August 31, 2025.  With 103 years of age and with 64 years of religious life, Br. Genésio was the oldest Salesian brother in Brazil, an example of faith and dedication to the Salesian charism. Br. Genésio has left a spiritual legacy rich in love for young people, the poor, and the Salesian mission, embodying for decades the values of Don Bosco with humility and generosity. The funeral Mass was held yesterday, August 31, at the Parish of Our Lady Help of Christians, located in Campinas, São Paulo. The Salesian Family unites in prayer for him, entrusting him to the merciful arms of God.
