(ANS – Rodeo del Medio) – Since 1901, the Don Bosco Faculty located in Rodeo del Medio, in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina, has been a benchmark in enology and the fruit and vegetable industry. It is recognized as the “cradle of Argentine enology.” This tradition has been sustained over time and projected worldwide, with distinguished graduates and degree holders who stand out at both the national and international levels.
With great joy, the rector of the Salesian house in Rodeo del Medio, Fr. José Cordera, SDB, emphasizes that this recognition is the result of “a process of hard work, strong commitment, constant support, and responsible management.” Furthermore, the Salesian notes that every day at the Don Bosco Faculty, the Salesians and the entire educational team strive to accompany the students, who demonstrate “a strong sense of belonging.” In this spirit, each educator supports the students so that they become not only excellent professionals but also “good Christians and upright citizens.”

The key to its success lies in its comprehensive formation, where knowledge is learned by doing. Vineyards, olive groves, state-of-the-art wineries, a canning factory, laboratories, and professional sensory analysis rooms are all part of the students’ daily learning experience. In this way, at the Salesian house in Rodeo del Medio, students and teachers go through the entire production process together, from harvesting to commercialization and marketing.
Although this path of excellence has been accompanied by awards year after year, 2025 has placed the Don Bosco Faculty at the top of Latin America. A wide variety of its products have won prestigious international competitions, and an olive-growing project has positioned “Don Bosco” extra virgin olive oil among the best in the world.
