Award-Winning Instructor Music Program Director Earns International Honor

What a night! How incredible to see such talent being recognized! At the recent 2023 lndie Music Channel Awards, held at Hollywood’s Ovation Center, Mr. Sam Hankins again won several awards:

  • –Best Instrumental Songwriter – Rise to the Groove
  • –Best Instrumental Recording- Why Not
  • –Best Instrumental Producer – Rise to the Groove
  • –Best Jazz Recording – Hindsight


Mr. Sam Hankins, the Tech’s Music Program Director, also earned the President’s Award for “Recognition of Outstanding Achievement in Music:’

Hosted in the Center’s beautiful “Hang on to the Dream Theater;’the event honored the best independent singers, bands and musicians from around the world for their outstanding achievement.
