In the heart of the Dominican Republic, “Plaza Educativa Don Bosco,” housing four distinct educational institutions, recently hosted a transformative retreat centered around unveiling the Rector Major’s strenna, “The Dream that Makes Us Dream.” Our Province Mission Animation Delegate helped facilitate this retreat.
More than 700 young minds and 300 educators were given a unique opportunity to reflect on the Dream of Don Bosco at nine years old. The retreat aimed to create a space for introspection, fostering personal growth and collective inspiration.
Under the presence of the Salesian community, led by Fr. Carlos Piantini, SDB, the event unfolded seamlessly. Their unwavering presence provided valuable support and guidance throughout the retreat, infusing it with a spiritual depth that resonated profoundly with the participants.
At its core, this retreat stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Don Bosco and his vision—a world where every young person can dream and, more importantly, realize those dreams. Through profound reflections and shared moments of spirituality, the Salesian community continues to nurture an environment where personal and collective dreams can flourish.
The success of this retreat underscores the power of communal introspection and the relevance of Don Bosco’s dream in shaping the lives and aspirations of the youth and the inter-provincial collaboration that took place with the presence of our Province Mission Animation Delegate as facilitator of this retreat.
