Camp St. Francis is more than just a summer camp—it’s a home where kids can escape the pressures of everyday life and immerse themselves in a welcoming and supportive environment. Campers are free to be themselves for a week or more, make new friends, and create memories that last a lifetime.

Hello, my name is Cecilia Do from Washington State. My time at Camp St. Francis has been nothing short of amazing, spanning several summers filled with moments I’ll never forget. Each year, I look forward to returning, knowing I’ll reconnect with friends who have become like family. The bonds I’ve formed here are some of the strongest in my life, and I know they’ll endure long after camp ends.

This year was particularly special as I took on the role of Assistant Counselor (AC). This new responsibility allowed me to help care for younger campers and ensure they had as meaningful an experience as I did. It was challenging but incredibly rewarding, giving me a deeper appreciation for the magic that happens at Camp St. Francis.

Even as an AC, I still had a great time. The camp staff, especially Fr. Vien Nguyen and Br. Reegan Ledet, and Br. Quang Nguyen always supported us, ensuring everyone, including the ACs, felt valued and heard. Their care and leadership created a positive atmosphere that made camp feel like a second home.

One of the most beautiful aspects of Camp St. Francis is witnessing the transformation that occurs in the campers. Someone who might be shy at the start of the week often becomes one of the most outgoing and joyful by the end, surrounded by new friends. The supportive environment, fun activities, and sense of belonging bring out the best in everyone.

Camp St. Francis isn’t just a place you visit—it’s a place that becomes a part of you. The experiences, friendships, and lessons learned there stay with you long after summer ends. It’s a safe space where you can be yourself, grow, and discover who you are. Whether it’s your first year at camp or your tenth, the memories you make at Camp St. Francis are ones you’ll treasure forever.
