(Bellflower, California) -On Saturday, September 21st, the Province Youth Ministry Team came together at St. John Bosco High School to kick off an exciting series of team meetings. The day began with a heartfelt opening prayer, inviting everyone to pause and reflect on the sources of hope within our Salesian works—a truly uplifting moment that set a positive tone for the gathering.
As the meeting progressed, the team dove into an engaging discussion about the Strenna for 2024-2025, focusing on the dreams and aspirations of the young people in our communities. They brainstormed ways to create more opportunities for youth to engage in upcoming provincial events, ensuring their voices and talents are highlighted.
Fr. Fabian Cardenas then led the group through a review of the strategic and pastoral plans. Together, they examined what still needs to be accomplished for the year ahead, fostering a collaborative spirit of growth.
Toward the end of the meeting, each department had a chance to share exciting updates and success stories from their respective areas, creating inspiration and camaraderie. Overall, this gathering was not just a review of ongoing work; it was a celebration of the Salesian mission and the collective effort to empower the youth within our province. With renewed energy and focus, the team left ready to make a meaningful impact in the year to come!
