Unique College-Prep Applied Science High School Program Available to Girls in Fall 2026
(Rosemead, California) – Don Bosco Technical Institute (Bosco Tech) will host its Open House for prospective students on Sunday, November 17. Elementary and middle school students—both boys and girls–and their families are invited to learn about the school’s rigorous academics, advanced technology majors, internship opportunities, and individualized college planning program. For the first time in its nearly 70-year history, Bosco Tech will begin admitting girls in the fall of 2026.
Open House, which runs from 12 noon to 4 p.m., will feature two brief welcome sessions at 12:15 and 2:00 p.m. The sessions will describe the Tech’s unique programs, and campus tours will spotlight the six applied-science technology majors and their unparalleled hands-on labs: Architecture & Construction Engineering (ACE); Biological, Medical & Environmental Technology (BMET); Computer Science & Electrical Engineering (CSEE); Integrated Design, Engineering and Art (IDEA); Media Arts & Technology (MAT); and Materials Science, Engineering & Technology (MSET).
“Open House is the perfect opportunity for all interested students to experience everything Bosco Tech has to offer,” said Principal Jeff Krynen. “They’ll experience how the school has earned its reputation as a premier college-preparatory, applied science and engineering-focused high school that places graduates in top universities across the country. And, in an increasingly tech-driven world, being able to offer our nationally unique college-prep STEM program to girls, as well, is a timely and appropriate move.”
