(Bellflower, California) – William, in Washington state, lives in an area where there are no Catholic schools. His family found out about the Full Time Online option at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, CA, and wanted to become a part of the Bosco community so that they could continue his Catholic education. “My experience at Saint John Bosco has been an extremely helpful and educational experience. I have met the needs for learning and have been able to equip myself with much of the same information as in-person learning. The teachers have been extremely supportive, understanding, and helpful in the process.” William has been a Full Time Online student with SJB Global for three years now and will graduate in 2026. He plays club soccer and is a competitive ballroom dancer. 

SJB Global, the online learning option at St. John Bosco, opens up our Salesian community to students locally, across the country, and around the world. As we strive to provide educational opportunities for those in need, we are also able to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our students and their families. We reach families where they are, serve and educate with loving kindness, and accompany them through their education, no matter where they are living.

Ty is from a local family and attended St. John Bosco full-time in person during his freshman year. When SJB Global was established in 2022, he was our first student to ask for a Flex schedule. He is an elite club hockey player and travels to hockey tournaments about 14 weekends each year. This caused him to miss a lot of class time in 9th grade.”Due to my busy travel schedule, it was always hard to get my work done ahead of time before I would leave, which led to me having to catch up on all my work while I was doing new assignments that the rest of the class was ready for.” For 10th and 11th grade, he used SJB Global classes to give him more flexibility and not miss any in-person class time for hockey. He took 4 classes in person and 3 classes online. This year, as a senior, he is a Full Time Online student playing hockey full-time in the Junior National Hockey League.  “SJB Global allows me to do my assignments from anywhere and at any time, so even if I am not in school, I can still stay up-to-date on my studies. SJB Global has been a lifesaver!” Online classes have helped him both pursue excellence in sports and remain in Salesian Catholic education.

SJB Global also serves international students. Declin and Gary are both international students from China who attended St. John Bosco in person for several years. When their families needed them to return to China mid-year, they were able to remain in the Bosco community and continue their Salesian Catholic education by finishing up their school year online with SJB Global.
