(Rosemead, Califorina) – Don Bosco Technical Institute juniors, parents, and staff were in awe on their recent tour of Burbank’s WET Design. The vision of former Disney Imagineer Mark Fuller, WET Design is a pioneering force behind groundbreaking fountain designs and engineering marvels worldwide, from the Fountains of Bellagio to the awe-inspiring Dubai Fountain (the world’s largest choreographed fountain), and hundreds more. WET Design harnesses the elements of nature – water, fire, ice, fog, and light – to evoke emotions, transcend the mundane, and captivate audiences across the globe.

The Tech group toured WET Design’s complex laboratories including the design, fabrication, materials, manufacturing, chemistry, and electronics, as well as the prototyping and staging areas; all aspects of creating the mesmerizing fountain displays occur “in house.”
Bosco Tech students met and talked to some of the architects, designers, engineers and technicians who collaborate to create the magical, one-of -a-kind water works that dazzle crowds across the world. From the demonstrations of special effects infused into the water, to the delicious lunch and Fosselman’s soft serve ice cream, the students were made to feel like VIPs!
A new partnership has been forged between Bosco Tech and WET Design where we are exploring future internship and employment opportunities. Thank you to our Bosco Tech parents who made this amazing and inspiring experience possible especially Ms. Veronica Valenzuela who works at WET Design!
