Don Bosco Technical Institute Summer Interns at Muse TV

Editor’s Note: The following post recognizes one of the summer internship opportunities available to Bosco Tech students, given the many partnerships the Tech has developed with local industries. In this case, it is noteworthy to see that MUSE TV was also founded by a Tech alumnus, Michael Sandoval (EL ’93).

(Rosemead, California) – Bosco Tech rising seniors Tomas Carranza, Liam Lopez, and Nicholas Renteria kicked off their MUSE TV summer internships on the red carpet at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival (LALIFF) this past weekend [May 31st – June 1st, 2025]. They shadowed the camera crew and hosts to learn about filming and interviewing celebrities.

The interns began the day attending several industry lectures, including “Storytelling with Disney” and “The Latino Editors Cutting through the Industry.” Little did they know they would meet Eugenio Derbez, director, actor, and producer of “Instructions Not Included,” a 2013 film that the students studied in their AP Spanish class this past school year!

Tech alumnus Michael Sandoval (EL ’93) founded MUSE TV, growing from a website covering music, sports, and entertainment news in 2012. Based in LA, the company has expanded to digital media and is currently being seen in 132 countries, with a YouTube channel currently receiving more than 11 million views. The company has multiple platforms that include Amazon Fire TV, Apple News Channel, and Google Newsstand.

Thank you Mr. Sandoval for this rare and amazing opportunity that will have our students doing video production, audio editing, photography/camera work and conducting interviews.
