(Los Angeles, California) – June 15, 2025 –
Dear Salesian Friends,
Many of you are aware of the recent immigration activity in our city and the growing fear it has caused families, especially those who are already facing serious challenges. At the Salesian Family Youth Center, we feel it, too. Our staff are part of this neighborhood. Our families are your families. And like you, we are concerned.
But let me be clear: our mission does not change. We are here to serve our community, especially those most vulnerable. That means every child who walks through our doors deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported.
No matter where a young person comes from or what their family is going through, the Salesian Family Youth Center will remain a welcome place. We offer stability, mentorship, and belonging, not just in words but in the programs we run, the relationships we build, and the trust we hold.
We are grateful to the families who allow us to be part of their lives and proud to stand with them always.
If you’re a parent with questions or concerns, please contact us directly. If you are a community partner or supporter looking for a way to help, we invite you to connect with us at info@salesianclubs-la.org.
We will move forward with calm, compassion, and a shared commitment to our youth.
Sincerely,
JC Montenegro
Executive Director
Centro Juvenil de la Familia Salesiana
