(Boyle Heights, California) – On Sunday, October 8, the Salesian Faith Forgers Missionary Group experienced a very special moment at St. Isabel’s Parish: the first Children’s Mass, which will be held once a month.
During the celebration, the children fulfilled their pledge of commitment, remembering that being missionaries is to serve with joy, share God’s love, and build community from a young age.
This youth initiative is made possible through the support of many within the community. Sincere gratitude is extended to all the parents who accompany and support the children’s journey, as well as the parish servers and catechists whose dedication sustains this meaningful initiative.
In a special way, appreciation is expressed to Fr. Hector Franco, SDB , whose enthusiastic and faith-filled leadership has inspired the children to live their faith with joy and commitment.
As a Salesian family, the community continues to follow Don Bosco’s dream: “Form good Christians and honorable citizens.”

Youth Animators Formed Through Friendship, Faith and New Perspectives
Last week, St. Isabel’s core group of young animators had the chance to visit the youth group at St. Dominic Savio Parish on Tuesday and Thursday — sharing friendship, faith, and new perspectives on how to lead a youth ministry guided by the youth themselves.

We’re deeply grateful to St. Dominic Savio for welcoming the Salesian youth leaders and for inspiring us with their hospitality and joy.
We also had the special opportunity to visit Father Joe Farías at his residence located at St. John Bosco High School.
