Provincial Announcement: New Provincial Installation & First Religious Profession

Dear Salesian Family Groups, Young People, Collaborators, and Friends,

With great joy and gratitude to Almighty God, I warmly invite you to join us for two significant celebrations in the life of our Salesian Province.

  • (Bellflower) – The first is the Provincial Installation of Fr. Joe Nguyen, SDB, as the next Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco – USA West (SUO). This celebration will take place on Monday, August 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Dominic Savio Church in Bellflower, California. The Eucharistic celebration will be presided over by Fr. Hugo Orozco, SDB, our Regional Councilor for Interamerica. We hope that many of you will be able to join us as we pray for and celebrate Fr. Joe as he begins this important ministry.
  • (San Francisco) – The second celebration is the First Religious Profession of our novice, Joseph Vu, which will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Church in San Francisco, California. Your presence and prayers would be an immense support as Joseph Vu makes his profession of first vows.

Thank you for your continued support, prayers, and commitment to our Salesian mission. We look forward to celebrating these very important and joyful province moments with you.

Fr. Joe Nguyen, SDB will be installed as the new Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco – USA West on August 24, 2026, at St. Dominic Savio Church – Bellflower, CA.

Novice Joseph Huan Vu’s Profession of First Religious Vows will be on August 15, 2026, (Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary) at Saints Peter and Paul Church – San Francisco, CA.
