(ANS – September 29, 2026) – La Asociación de los Salesianos Cooperadores está viviendo un tiempo particularmente significativo de su historia. Mientras prosigue la celebración del 150º aniversario y se recogen los frutos del VI Congreso Mundial, el Consejo Mundial anuncia que en las próximas semanas se publicarán diversas propuestas de animación para acompañar a toda la Asociación en el conocimiento y la acogida de las Líneas Programáticas 2026-2032. Association of Salesian Cooperators has published the Preliminary Document for the 2026–2032 Animation Plan, a text that marks a new stage in the journey begun with the 6th World Congress, held in Rome in May 2026, and in the celebration of the Association’s 150th anniversary.

The document, accompanied by a video message from the World Coordinator, Borja Pérez, represents the first fruit of the work of discernment and synthesis carried out by the World Council following the Congress. The complete Animation Plan will be presented by December 2026.

“The Congress was not simply an isolated event nor just another gathering in our Association’s history; it was—and continues to be—a spiritual, vocational, and organizational milestone, a true exercise in listening to the Spirit and in associative communion at a global level,” states the World Coordinator in the letter accompanying the document.

This initiative comes at a particularly significant time for the Association. On the one hand, the 150th anniversary invites Salesian Cooperators to reflect with gratitude on their roots, renew their identity, and relaunch their mission for the future. On the other hand, the 6th World Congress represented an intense experience of listening, participation, and communion, in harmony with the Church’s synodal journey and with the challenges of a constantly changing world.

This Preliminary Document stems precisely from the desire to transform the insights of the Congress into concrete guidelines for the entire Association. It is not intended to replace the Congress Proceedings or merely compile conclusions, but rather to translate the discernment experienced into practical proposals for animation, capable of inspiring the planning of Centers, Provinces, and Regions for the six-year period from 2026 to 2032.

There are two fundamental elements that characterize this first publication. On the one hand, there is an initial elaboration of the program guidelines that emerged from the Congress, reinterpreted in light of the Association’s various fields of animation and different geographical contexts. On the other hand, seven key guidelines have been identified that can serve as a common reference point and a unifying element for all Salesian Cooperators over the next six years.

The document is also inspired by the four words offered by the Rector Major during the World Congress—listening, communion, mission, and participation—which the World Council wishes to adopt as a permanent style of animation.

In this perspective, the Animation Plan is intended not only as an organizational tool, but as a genuine shared journey of the Association, capable of fostering co-responsibility, discernment, and participation at all levels.

Looking to the future, the Association renews its desire to live out faithfully the Salesian lay vocation, called to be, as the Project of Apostolic Life reminds us, “light, salt, and leaven” at the heart of society.

With their gaze fixed on Don Bosco y Mary, the Salesian Cooperators are now preparing to set out together on this new stage of their journey, confident that the 2026–2032 Animation Plan will become an instrument of unity, mission, and hope for the whole Association.

The Preliminary Document of the Animation Plan 2026–2032 is already available for consultation and will be further developed over the coming months until the official presentation of the complete Plan, scheduled for December 2026.
