Bellflower, CA – St. John Bosco High School has come to an agreement with Scoreboard Media, LLC, in which Scoreboard Media will purchase two (2) new LED video scoreboards and two (2) LED shot clocks for use in the main gym, as well as a new 3’ x 9’ double-sided LED marquee which will be placed in front of the school. These large, high-resolution scoreboards will be a significant upgrade to the athletic facilities, improve the fan experience, and offer local businesses an opportunity to advertise to students, faculty, families, and fans. The new LED marquee will provide an upgraded look and image to the front of the school and be much more representative of St. John Bosco’s commitment to quality and excellence.

“Being at the forefront of technology in high school sports propels our basketball program forward as we continue to do everything we can to provide the very best high school basketball experience to our student-athletes and to our fans. With these new LED video scoreboards, we’ll be able to showcase our student-athletes and the other incredible students and programs at our school through video. We’ll also be able to highlight the larger Bosco community through advertising, something that will be hugely valuable to local businesses and to our school.”

– Matt Dunn, Head Basketball Coach at St. John Bosco

The video scoreboards can also be used for non-athletic events at the school, including assemblies, watch parties, pep rallies, guest speakers, Masses, signing days, and much more. Perhaps most importantly, access to this digital and video technology will offer students additional curriculum in video content production and operation as well as live-game production.

In addition to receiving the equipment, St. John Bosco will share in the sponsorship revenue for the term of the agreement which will be hugely beneficial to the athletic facilities and programs as well as academic purposes.

With these new LED video scoreboards, we’ll be able to create a collegiate-level atmosphere in the Thunderdome, not only for our sport but for basketball, volleyball, school assemblies, rallies and so much more. The video capability of the boards will be a game changer for the fan experience and will elevate the marketing and advertising opportunities we’re able to offer the
Bosco community.”

– Jeff Anderson, Head Wrestling Coach at St. John Bosco
