(ANS – Rome) – With just over 50 days to go until the start of the Salesian Family Spirituality Days (GSFS) 2024 – scheduled to take place in Turin-Valdocco from January 18 to 21, 2024 – the Secretariat for the Salesian Family has released a short video in five languages inviting members of all groups to this great event of spirituality, communion and sharing.
“Don Bosco is waiting for you; Mary Help of Christians loves you; the Salesian Family is reunited and you cannot miss this appointment!” we hear in the video prepared by the GSFS 2024 coordination team.
The GSFS meeting, which will reach its 42nd edition in 2024, is an initiative aimed at reviving Salesian spirituality in its fundamental dimensions. It is suggested each year by the respective Strenna of the Rector Major, and in a spirit of communion among the 32 groups of the Salesian Family.
This year, therefore, the Days have one more reason to motivate participation: the fact that community and joint reflection will be developed around a fundamental theme for the entire Salesian Family, that Nine Year Dream by Don Bosco that represents the entire apostolic program of the Saint of Youth.
To be renewed in spirituality, to rediscover Don Bosco’s presence in one’s own life, to retrace his path in the places where he was a protagonist, to experience fraternity, to become aware of the truly global and multicoloured dimension of the Salesian Family in the world… these are just some of the reasons that can be put forward to encourage participation in the Days.
“I invite you, I encourage you to participate, to be present, by connecting from all parts of the world, but also by coming here, to Don Bosco’s house, to this Salesian holy place. We are waiting for you!” urges Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime, Rector Major of the Salesians and the Father and Center of Unity of the Salesian Family, on his part.
The video prepared by the GSFS 2024 coordination team is available in English and Spanish.
