(Pasadena, California) – On March 4, 2024, the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association announced 20 new and returning bands that will proudly march in the 136th Rose Parade presented by Honda on January 1, 2025.
Each band received news of admission to the parade lineup from the president of the Tournament of Roses, Ed Morales, an alumnus of Don Bosco Technical Institute. These exceptional bands come from all over the world, nation, and state and were chosen based on musicianship, marching ability, entertainment, or special interest.
Among the new bands to march in the renowned Rose Parade will be the Salesians of Don Bosco Southern California High School Band, gathered from the marching bands of Don Bosco Technical Institute, Rosemead, Bishop Mora Salesian High School, Los Angeles, and St. John Bosco High School, Bellflower. Preparations are underway as the united band practices for this unforgettable experience.
On New Year’s Day 2025, St. John Bosco’s tradition of marching bands will now be showcased to millions of Rose Parade viewers present along the parade route or through national TV broadcasts and the Internet.
The theme of this year’s parade is “Best Day Ever.” With Salesian spirit and dedication, the Salesians of Don Bosco High School Band of Southern California will surely bring their “best ever” to this historic opportunity.
