4th Cohort of Onward Scholars Celebrated at Salesian High School, Los Angeles, California –
The twelve newest members of the Onward Scholars Program (OSP) at Salesian High School were honored at a special pinning ceremony on August 18. With the arrival of the new OSP members, the Onward Scholars Program has now grown to 48 students.
Through the generosity of the John and Cynthia Lee Smet Foundation, Salesian High School was accepted into the Onward Scholars family with twelve freshmen in the Fall of 2021. Each year, 12 new freshmen members have been added to the program, leading to a total of 48 scholars. As members of the Onward Scholars Program, Salesian students are provided with comprehensive support through scholarship, mentorship, and access to the nations best universities. The students are also provided with a scholarship which covers 75% of their Salesian High School tuition. Onward Scholars at Salesian High School maintain strong academic records, participate as leaders of numerous programs, and participate in various service activities with Onward Scholars at five other OSP partner schools.
