Salesian Missionary Volunteer Presentation at St. Francis High School Salesian College Preparatory
(Watsonville, California) – On Wednesday, September 18, JC Montenegro, the Mission Animation Delegate and Luis Chacon, the Coordinator of the Volunteers program for the USA Western Province, had the opportunity to speak about the Salesian Missionary Volunteer program at St. Francis High School in Watsonville. With the presence of Fr. Marcos Castillo and Fr. Ted Montemayor, they reflected with 300 high school students on how they can give purpose to their lives through Salesian service.
JC and Luis give a big shoutout to the amazing faculty at St. Francis, especially Christopher and Gabrielle, the Youth Ministry Coordinator, for making this experience possible.

St Bridget’s Chinese Catholic Church, Los Angeles, California
(Los Angeles, California) – To celebrate St. Bridget Chinese Catholic Church’s 85th anniversary, you are invited to the annual celebration dinner on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 888 Seafood Restaurant in Rosemead. They also want to give a huge thanks to the students who’ve participated in the Salesian Missionary Volunteer program in Tijuana. They’ve been part of serving 700+ meals daily to people experiencing homelessness, supporting a youth center in a high-risk area, and helping out at an orphanage.

On Saturday, September 14, at St. Bridget’s Chinese Catholic Church there was a Thanksgiving Mass at 10 AM celebrating Sr. Maria’s Lai, CSJ, 40th Anniversary of Religious Profession. Mass was followed by a joyous reception in the Parish Center.
