Making a Difference Together

(Los Angeles, California) – On Monday, December 22, 2024, we witnessed the power of unity and service! A heartfelt thank you to all the Salesian volunteers who joined us at the shelter, offering love and support to families navigating financial challenges as they begin a new chapter in this country.

From the Salesian parishes of St. Mary’s, St. Isabel, and St. Dominic Savio, to volunteers from the Salesian Family Youth Center and Salesian High School Bishop Mora, your presence made an incredible difference.

A special shoutout to Paul Brogan for connecting us with Michael, whose generosity and kindness truly shone. Not only did Michael and his family donate Legos, but he also spent time with the children, crafting bracelets and creating unforgettable moments of joy.

To everyone who lent their time, heart, and hands today: thank you for making a difference in the lives of these families. Together, we are building a future filled with hope.

Dedication Beyond the Classroom

This winter, Peter, one of our incredible Salesian Missionary Volunteers, is living out Don Bosco’s dream by dedicating his time to the children in our community.

Even during the winter break, Peter is here every day, spending time with kids who can’t be at home because their parents are working. Whether it’s helping them with activities, sharing laughter, or simply being present, Peter shows what it means to embody the love of God in every moment.

His kindness and willingness to serve remind us that true love is found in giving our time and hearts to others. Thank you, Peter, for being an example of selflessness and joy!
