(ANS – Bonn) – The new Handbook on Fair Supply Chains, developed within the Erasmus+ project From Chains to Bridges, addresses one of today’s most pressing global justice issues — how to make supply chains more just, sustainable, and respectful of human dignity.
While the handbook takes a practical and educational approach, the topic deeply resonates with our Christian commitment to justice, solidarity, and care for our common home. Guided by the Don Bosco’s vision of accompanying young people toward responsible and compassionate citizenship, we see fair supply chains as an expression of living faith and love in action.
Created by five European partner organizations — including Don Bosco Mission Office in Germany, Bonn and Jugend Eine Welt Austria — the handbook offers practical tools, self-assessment checklists, advocacy examples, and interactive educational methods. It helps NGOs and youth organizationsidentify where their work intersects with global supply chains and how they can become active for fairness and sustainability.
In particular, Don Bosco organizations across Europe are invited to explore the handbook, discover connections to their own mission, and reflect on how education, advocacy, and daily practice can contribute to global justice.
For Don Bosco Mission Bonn, the project perfectly fits our mission: to inspire young people and partner organizations to live global solidarity and take responsibility for shaping a more just world.
The handbook is available in five languages (English, German, Spanish, Polish, and Romanian) and can be freely accessed online.
