“Without Beating Around the Bush”: A Space to Explore the Rector Major’s Message

(ANS – Córdoba) – For the Salesian Family, the Rector Major’s Strenna has been a key message since the time of Don Bosco. It serves as a guide for pastoral and educational work throughout the year, but today there is an added challenge: to analyze and interpret it so that it truly challenges daily life.

With this goal in mind, the St. Artemides Zatti Province of Argentina North (ARN), through the collaborative work of the Social Communication and Youth Ministry delegations, has launched the project “Sin tantas vueltas” (Without Beating Around the Bush). This is a series of conferences, broadcast live and then archived as podcasts, designed to reflect on the message the Rector Major proposes for 2026: “Do whatever he tells you. Believers, free to serve.”

The project, which has already begun with the first three episodes available on YouTube and Spotify, stems from a shared conviction among the Salesian communities of ARN: the best conversations do not come from scripts, but from encounters in the corridor, shared mate, or a question that lingers after a meeting.

“Without Beating Around the Bush” aims to create a space of sincerity and loyalty, without grand staging or clichés. Its intention is to reflect together, with the simplicity of playground conversations, on what Jesus says to the Salesian Family today. To achieve this, the podcast draws on various youth ministry resources, offering a broad and diversified view across six main themes, each explored in one episode:

ARN’s “Sin tantas vueltas” continues with live broadcasts every Thursday at 11:00 a.m. (UTC-3) on the YouTube channel @salesianosarn. For those who wish to revisit topics already covered, all episodes are available on YouTube and Spotify.
