(Boyle Heights, California) – Two weeks ago, on February 28, the Salesian Family Youth Center community gathered for a memorable evening at our 4th Annual Gala, “A Night of Hope.” It was a celebration filled with joy, generosity, and a powerful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together in support of young people.
Nearly 300 supporters, friends, and partners joined us that evening, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and solidarity around our mission. Seeing so many people united in their commitment to the children and youth we serve truly made it a Night of Hope.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our participants, sponsors, and donors, the gala raised approximately $55,000 in support of the Youth Center’s programs. These funds will help us continue providing safe spaces, mentorship, educational support, and meaningful opportunities that empower young people to grow, learn, and thrive.
This special evening would not have been possible without the dedication of the Youth Center staff and the many young people whose hard work and commitment helped make the event a success. Their efforts reflect the spirit of the Salesian mission and the strength of our community.
We are also deeply grateful to the talented performers who enriched the celebration. A special thank you to the Ballet Folklórico from Bravo High School and the Mariachi Olímpico from Roosevelt High School for sharing their incredible artistry and bringing energy, culture, and pride to the evening.
Although the gala took place two weeks ago, the sense of gratitude and inspiration it created continues to resonate. We will continue sharing highlights and special moments from that beautiful night in the days ahead.
