(ANS – Rome) – In preparation for the Feast of Mary Help of Christians and within the context of the triduum in her honor, the Social Communications Sector is pleased to present a new series of posters featuring significant quotations from St. John Bosco on spreading devotion to Mary Help of Christians.

When asked how Mary Help of Christians could be made better known and loved, Don Bosco responded:

“By speaking opportunely of Her with the young people that Providence entrusts to us and with the people who approach us; by sometimes writing about Her in every letter to relatives and acquaintances; by directing to Her those who need special graces and by recounting the favors received through Her; by distributing medals and images bearing Her likeness; by frequently reciting and having others recite the ejaculation: Maria Auxilium Christianorum, ora pro nobis; by preferably singing Her praises during recreation and in church, especially during Her month.”

Inspired by these words, the Sector has prepared 18 posters, available in six languages, which may be freely downloaded and shared.

The hope is that this simple initiative may become a small spark to renew and promote devotion to Mary Help of Christians, especially among young people and within the Salesian Family.
