Br. Jorge Galvis Peñaranda, SDB, Makes His Perpetual Profession

(Bellflower, California) – The Salesian community joyfully celebrates the perpetual profession of Br. Jorge Galvis Peñaranda, SDB, who has made his lifelong commitment as a Salesian of Don Bosco on Friday, June 19 at St. Dominic Savio Parish in Bellflower.

Through perpetual profession, a Salesian freely and permanently dedicates himself to God through the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience. This commitment marks a significant milestone in religious life and affirms a lifelong dedication to serving young people according to the charism and mission of St. John Bosco.

The occasion is a moment of thanksgiving for Br. Jorge, his family, and the entire Salesian Family. It is also an opportunity to pray for all Salesians in formation and for those discerning a vocation to religious life.

As the Church gives thanks for Br. Jorge’s generous response to God’s call, the Salesian community invites the faithful to keep him in their prayers as he continues his journey of service to God and young people.
