(Boyle Heights, California) – This week, our Salesian Family Youth Center Board of Directors had the opportunity to serve pizza to our Summer Camp campers and counselors. This simple act of service became a meaningful opportunity to connect with our young people and experience our mission in action.
There is something special about watching campers enjoy a meal after a busy morning filled with games, crafts, sports, and new friendships. Their smiles, gratitude, and excitement reminded us why we do what we do.

We love serving our youth and being present with them. As Salesians, we know that sharing small moments like these can leave a lasting impact. It was inspiring to witness firsthand the energy, friendships, and strong sense of community that our Summer Camp fosters each day.
We are grateful to our dedicated staff, counselors, and volunteers who make these meaningful experiences possible throughout the summer.
A heartfelt thank you to our Board of Directors and to everyone who continues to support the mission of the Salesian Family Youth Center. Together, we are creating a place where young people feel welcomed, cared for, and encouraged to grow in a safe, joyful, and fun environment.
