(Rosemead, California) – Debbie Castro has been named Bosco Tech’s Athletic Director, bringing more than a decade of dedication, experience, and commitment to the school’s athletic community to her new role. She most recently served as Assistant Athletic Director and has played an important role in managing athletic logistics and game-day operations, helping ensure the school’s programs run smoothly and successfully.

A longtime advocate for athletics, Castro has both cheered and coached cheerleading, giving her a unique perspective on the opportunities sports provide students. Her experience as an athlete and coach has deepened her appreciation for the ways athletics build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and community.

“We’re thrilled to announce Ms. Castro’s appointment as Athletic Director,” said Principal Jeff Krynen. “Her proven dedication to the Tech and its students, along with her professionalism and capabilities, will continue to make her a tremendous asset to our school community.”

Looking ahead, Castro is especially excited about the continued growth of Bosco Tech athletics and the arrival of a strong girls’ sports program. She looks forward to creating new opportunities for female student-athletes to compete, grow, and become an integral part of the Bosco Tech community.

“I’m proud to continue supporting our student-athletes, coaches, and boosters,” said Castro. “I’m excited to be part of this new chapter and to see all that our athletic program can accomplish together.”
