(Rosemead, California – September 12, 2026) – At Bosco Tech, education extends beyond the classroom, giving young people opportunities to discover their talents, build confidence, and share their gifts with others. This Salesian approach to education was on full display as members of the Royal Techman Marching Band were selected to participate in USC High School Band Day 2026, performing alongside the Spirit of Troy during a recent USC football game.

For these young musicians, the experience was more than a performance. It was an opportunity to put their dedication and hard work into action, join thousands of fellow student musicians, and share their talents on a major stage. Their experience reflects the spirit of Don Bosco, who believed in creating opportunities for young people to develop their gifts and discover their potential.

Wow, what a day for our young musicians!

The Royal Techman Marching Band was selected from approximately 1,000 bands to perform alongside the Spirit of Troy during High School Band Day 2026, as the USC Trojans took on Louisiana this past weekend.

As part of this extraordinary experience, our talented band members joined nearly 2,000 musicians on the field at halftime, while our proud and vocal Bosco Tech fan base cheered them on from the stands.

And there was even more to celebrate! During practice, the USC band director told our students that our band was one of the best he’s ever heard—what an incredible compliment!

We couldn’t be prouder of our dedicated musicians and all the hard work they put into making this experience so memorable.

A huge thank-you to USC for this unforgettable opportunity!
