For over two years, the Salesian Family Youth Center has been actively involved in events organized by The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. Through these engagements and newfound connections, we have forged a meaningful partnership with Visión y Compromiso.

On Friday, March 29th, Visión y Compromiso convened the event “Agenda: Su Salud está en sus manos” (Agenda: Your Health is in Your Hands) at the Salesian Family Youth Center. This initiative served as a platform to unite representatives from various health-related institutions, underscoring the significance of collaboration in addressing societal health and wellbeing.

Among the distinguished attendees were representatives from Visión y Compromiso, the White Memorial Community Health Center, the Los Angeles Department of Public Health, the Health Deputy District Director for Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, the Jewish Women’s Association, Fiesta Educativa, and other organizations dedicated to health and education.

The event facilitated insightful discussions and exchanges on pressing health issues affecting our communities. Topics ranged from access to healthcare services to preventative measures and community outreach strategies. Through these dialogues, participants identified synergies and opportunities for collective action to address health disparities and enhance overall wellbeing.

The Salesian Family Youth Center is proud to serve as a venue for such impactful gatherings that foster collaboration and innovation in community health initiatives. Our commitment to the holistic development of youth and families extends to promoting health equity and empowerment within our communities.
