Honoring Dedication: Salesian Altar Servers Enjoy a Movie Outing

By Luis Chacon

In a sincere gesture of appreciation for their dedicated service throughout Holy Week at both Salesian parishes of St. Mary’s and St. Isabel in Boyle Heights, the Salesians of Don Bosco, Father Marco Cesar and Father Hector, along with the leader of the altar servers, Ezequiel de Leon, treated the altar servers to a well-deserved outing to the cinema.

Grateful for the faithful and responsible work of the altar servers, the pastoral educational community organized a special event to acknowledge their efforts. With the generous donation of 20 cinema tickets from Martha Gpomez, a parishioner of St. Mary’s, a total of 32 altar servers were accompanied to the movies to relax and further strengthen educational bonds of friendship. Joined by parents, the group totaled over 50 individuals enjoying the cinematic experience together.

As the altar servers returned from their cinematic excursion, their smiles and laughter resonated with the joy of camaraderie and appreciation. This event exemplifies the Salesian ethos of fostering a culture of gratitude, solidarity, and joyful celebration within our Salesian communities.
