(Los Angeles, California) – In preparation for the Feast of St. John Bosco, let us join in a novena to God through the intercession of our beloved founder, St. John Bosco, whose feast we will celebrate on Saturday, January 31.

The Strenna for 2026 reminds us that all our initiatives are to be rooted in Christ, led by discerning his call, and responding as Don Bosco did. May this year’s novena deepen our ability to see the needs of the young, especially those most vulnerable, to hear the Lord’s call and to do “whatever he tells us” as “believers, free to serve.”

We thank our Salesian Family in the east for the Don Bosco Novena Booklet developed by Amy Stockinger, which draws on excerpts from the Strenna 2026. We are also grateful to Fr. Gilbert Choondal, SDB, INK for sharing the Novena to Don Bosco Based on Strenna 2026, the Dream at 9, and the Good Shepherd.
