The Lay Groups Fair at the Salesian Family Spirituality Days: A Space for Encounter and Communion

(ANS – Turin) – On the afternoon of the second day of the Salesian Family Spirituality Days, the Lay Groups Fair of the Salesian Family took place, offering a particularly meaningful moment of mutual acquaintance, sharing, and charismatic reflection.

The Purpose of the Fair

The primary goal of the Lay Groups Fair was to promote understanding of the origins of each Association and the initial “sparks” that gave rise to experiences of communion within the Church and the Salesian Family. The Fair highlighted the human, spiritual, ecclesial, and social commitments that define each group.

At the same time, it provided an opportunity to showcase the most significant aspects of the lived charismatic experience and to present ongoing projects and activities from around the world.

Lay Groups in Attendance

During the Fair, participants had the chance to meet and learn more about the following Salesian Family lay groups:

  • Salesian Ladies Association (Damas Salesianas)
  • Past Pupils of Don Bosco
  • Past Pupils of Mornese of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians
  • Volunteers of Don Bosco (VDB)
  • ADMA Association (Association of Mary Help of Christians)
  • Canção Nova
  • Contemplative Fraternity “Mary of Nazareth”

A Shared Experience

The Fair proved to be a true convergence of communion, where the richness of different lay vocations highlighted the vitality of the Salesian charism in its many expressions. It offered a valuable opportunity to strengthen the sense of belonging to the Salesian Family, rediscovering the shared call to live the Gospel in the spirit of Don Bosco—each according to his or her own vocation and mission.
